However, Islamabad has the momentum heading into Eliminator 2, having defeated Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets.
Although Lahore Qalandars lost the Qualifier to Multan Sultans, they beat Islamabad United twice in 2022 and should feel confident of reaching the final in their second attempt. Fakhar Zaman is a key player in this match, having scored 584 runs in PSL7, including one century and seven half-centuries. He has been dismissed for fewer than 50 runs only three times in 11 innings. With Zaman and Shadab Khan set to play on Friday, this match features the competition's leading run-scorer against its leading wicket-taker.
